Many Hands at the Roundhouse
I am curating and playing in a day of events at the Roundhouse on Sunday 31st January, which promises to be very exciting. A group of pianists from all over Europe are coming together for an evening that includes two new works, one for six pianos and audience participation and the other a new arrangement of part of John Adams' electronic classic Hoodoo Zephyr. There's also music for piano and dancer, two pianos and percussion, five pianos and honkytonk, and a Piazzolla set with the wonderful accordionist James Crabb. Earlier in the day the Labeque sisters give a concert, there are a host of new works from students and young composers, and a show by three pianist/inventors who are charting the future course the piano might take. Believe it or not, these afternoon events are free!

New pieces
I premiered my new piano piece "a single hair, a jasmine petal, seven mattresses, a pea.."
in the Konserthuset in Stockholm last November and then gave the British premiere in Huddersfield at the Festival there later in the month.
I'm now working on a piece for solo cello with tape for Robin Michael and another for viola for Matthew Jones.
